Here's a great idea for Mother's Day, Father's Day, a class gift for pre-school or infants school teacher, Christmas present for grandparents, etc.

FolkArt® Products Required

• Your choice of opaque fabric paint colours - there are so many to choose from!

Supplies

• Plain apron (we used a plain white apron but you can also buy plain aprons in hot pink, lime green, aqua blue, bright red, and black).

Equipment

• Some plastic picnic plates for the paint.
• Soap and water for washing up afterwards.

Instructions

• Pour a small amount of fabric paint onto the plates - enough to cover the bottom.
• Assist kids to place one hand surface, lightly palm-down, onto paint surface.
• Have the children place their hand-print on the front of the apron (grouped together looks best).
• Repeat the process until the apron front is sufficiently decorated with hand-prints.
• You can add names and dates to each palm print with a fine-tip fabric signature marker.
